I gave you my heart
from the very start
the moment i looked in your eyes
i was taken to the skies
and i knew
that i loved you
but when you said goodbye
darkness came to my sky
and when the light
tried to make things right
i fell into the darkness
turning into a mess
thinking about your eyes
that took me to the skies
makes me cry because then came your goodbye

    Just two suggestions;

    Add a very for the second stanza, it'd be better scantion(sp.) in my opinion
    and delete the the at the beginging of
    the darkness.

    Other wise its a absolutely brillianly beautiful yet sad poem.
