While i lay awake in my bed, holding my daddy's cowboy hat, I looked at the stars and started to cry and prayed a long prayer while I lay there and cried.
Dear Lord, I pray you keep my daddy safe while he's gone on his long cattle drive. I know I will one day see him again when I go on my cattle drive. Just tell him I love him and that I miss him more than anything.
I was done and said Amen, and I knew I shouldn't cry, but while I lay there awake in my bed I thought of him and looked at the sky.
