Iti

by Bhavin   Apr 18, 2006

It was a dark and stormy day
When his eyes first saw Iti.
Her beauty made his heart sway
As she appeared like a deity.
The chilly winds and cold rains
Had made her umbrella fly.
There were no roofs, there were no lanes,
Under which she could comfortably lie.

He tried ignoring she was getting wet
But his heart opposed his decision.
On Iti, his eyes were fixed and set
He found her in a helpless condition.
He gathered some courage and started to walk
In the diirection where Iti stood.
He opened his mouth but could not talk
As her face was hidden in hood.

With a sudden jerk he landed straight
In front of Iti\'s face.
He offered his umbrella but it was too late
As it too flew away in space.
They both got wet as clouds thickened
Their grip towards the weather.
Rain got stronger and Iti weakened
So he offered her his leather (jacket).

She denied it first but then accepted
The jacket that he affectionately gave.
She wore it till sun rays bisected
Through clouds and settled on pave (ground).
She returned his jacket with a smile
And then disappeared near the curve (cross lane).
He thought about her for a quite of while
And realised that he was in LOVE!!!

I don't say this alot but this poem was amazing. I loved the imagery that the story (poem) presented. I don't know if love should be capitalized at the end butt it does make the point stand out. Wow...I really can't believe this.
