Nine Eleven

by Irma Benavides   Apr 18, 2006

The twin towers were
so beautiful and stood so tall
full of love and joy
they were so perfect
until the day came
when all the haters
had to show their faces
and destroy what we cherished
everything was going right
then the towers hit the ground
imagine what we're going to miss
all of this was uncalled for
why they did it, I don't know
all the people who were there
didn't deserve what happened
their lives taken away for no reason
innocent men and women and kids
I hope they rest in peace forever
even though I didn't know them
it hurt me real bad when I heard
what had happened that day
apart of me wanted to break down
and cry but another part of me said
be strong, so I was strong and
I prayed for everyone and
their families to be safe
all this taught us a lesson in life
we should learn to love each other
we should learn to appreciate one another
cause things like this happen everyday
but we are Americans
and United we do Stand
and to all of our soldiers in Iraq
we thank you for all that you do
for putting you lives on the line
everyday you're out there fighting
just because our so called president
says the war must go on
we'll always remember Nine Eleven
rest in peace to everyone we have lost.
