As the memories of you and me
Are swept away like the ripples on the sea
I have to stop and wonder
Wonder why we made such a blunder
And also why you had to lie
And why you had to make me cry
Perhaps it was a big mistake
But it seemed like a risk we had to take
Yet as it stands, I am glad we did
For now, I realize you are still a kid
