Soldier down

The blood dripped,
from beneath his skin,
as his body,
placed against the sand.
That bullet drove,
right to his heart,
this news would tare,
one family apart.
He let a single tear,
fall down,
as a nurse sat on the ground.
She placed her hand,
against his wound,
and tried to save,
just one more life.
The tension rose,
in the hospital room,
another family,
one last lost life.
His daughter cried,
for every night,
she had a feeling,
her soldier would die.
