Sain but Stumble

by Lynn Anderson   Apr 18, 2006

Wilt underneath the seaside,
Melt away through the grass,
Stare up into the star-shine,
You know we were never meant to last.

I say goodbye to the day,
Open the new door,
Forget you went away,
I need you only no more.

I was once ashamed,
To be alone without you,
Now its only sain,
To sit alone and doubt you.

You were so much pressure,
To hold atop my shoulders,
Don't see me any lesser,
You know your only colder.

You fought to keep me aside,
You showed me far away,
Made me hide my pride,
The many things you've thrown away.

I really enjoy your style of writing. Our writing seems similar, even though I don't show it in most of my poems. This poem was a joy for me to read, and I loved how you were able to rhyme and still have depth.
