Everything happens for a reason

She was with his friend. He was with his first love.

they met but didnt really think anything about it.

she was with another guy. He was with her friend.

they never got a good chance to talk.

they ended up in the same place at the same time.

Her friends said that he had a thing for her. She knew she had it for him too.

She was still in school. He had just graduated that day from the same one.

He was in the army. He was leaving in 5 months.

She said \" will i ever see you again\" he replied \" probably not\"

though it was aching in her throat, she swallowed the giant knot.

they held hands as if this would make things better, when really they both knew they would not be together.
