Not your Ordinary Rose

My mouth is dropped and wide open
I’m in shock in what I’ve been informed
A close, close friend of mine
Has just recently had her little heart torn

A cold tear falls off my cheek
Why is it I am so far away?
In times like this friends need each other the most
I’m so hurt I can’t take her pain away

I listen to her telling me the conversations
Some of her close buddies have had
Her pain is my pain as well
When she frowns I am also sad

I wish I could be her best friend
I’ve dreamed of a girl just like her
To be there constantly for me
So sweet and kind, of that I’m sure

Betrayed by her own best friend
What an awful emotion to feel
When she asks do I believe this
I just think it’s so unreal

But see this special friend of mine
Is actually like my twin
I just don’t know what to do
To help this situation she’s in

One thing people don’t know about her
Something I’ve come to find
Is her intelligence and beauty
Comes from her very mind

She’s not your ordinary rose
A time like this the rose would die
But not my sweet Brittney
She’s blooming better then you and I

By now a rose would turn black and fall
But my Brittney is still bright red
Strong and still beautiful
Through all the hurtful words that has been said

Neither black nor half dead
Through hard time she still grows
Strong and beautiful by the day
She’s not your ordinary rose

I LOVE YOU BRITT! SMILE FOR ME I WANNA SEE YA GRILL HAHAHA...ya know that made you laugh....

    This is precious what a special way to let Britt know how loved and appreciated she is as a person and as a friend...Chelsey you are truly a glowing light in a world of darkness like myself Britt is lucky to have you in her corner...Im sure she loved this just as much and if not more than I did :o)

    To be betrayed by your best friend is something unbearable but believable, something to give an advice to your friend, it's a rarity to find a true friend, yes, you'll meet many friends on your road, some will pull you up and some will break your heart, but in the end, waht truly matters to ones heart is the one you'll spend the rest of your lie with. weather that'll be your true friend, who'll hurt you just to make you wake up before you fall and one who will always be there for you.. that is true friendship, and if her best friend broke her heart in two, then she's not a friend and your friend should move on... great dedication Chelsey, I'll defintely be reading more of your poems.
