For Sammy

by Monica Rodriguez   Apr 19, 2006

Can't sleep at night, can't eat all day;
because of your mistakes, we all have to pay.
I go on about life, my world in a blurr;
this is how I'm living now, cuz you chased after her.
Answer me this, what did you gain;
was it really worth, causing your family this pain?
What did it cost you, but six months of your life;
and that's not all, you almost lost your wife.
Six months of your freedom, six months we have to be apart;
that's not even enough time, for me to mend this broken heart.
You chose to cheat, lie & do drugs;
you didn't stop to think, what it was doing to us.
Not just me, the kids hurt too;
that's what happens when all you think about is you.
So when you get out, you have to change for the better;
that's if you want this love to last forever.
I don't want to live with that life from before;
I won't let you hurt us, you won't hurt us no more.
So if you want your family and your love is really true;
I'll be here waiting, my love, waiting for you.
