My Fear Is

My fear is how it is
Because of what my mom
Had let her partners do.

They always said,
"I love you like you were my own.
I will always protect you!"

But I ask,
Why did you say those things?
If they were not true!?

Why abuse me,
When I do not
know you?

Why mentally abuse me,
When your one of-
My mom's dogs?!

I never wanted,
This to happen,
But why did it happen?
