It seems like just yesterday
we had just met
You taught me so much
Without you I wouldn't have made it, I bet

The time I have
left with you isn't long
but what we have left
we both must be strong

Yesterday, we were up all night
and staying out all day
always busy
never taking time to pray

Pray that one day, one time
we won't forget
all the fun we had
and all we regret

Those hot summer days
and sweet summer nights
play back in my head,
as I turn out the lights

Wishing they were here again
wondering what this time they'll bring
Knowing it won't ever be the same
ruins almost everything

Just yesterday you were here with me
Just yesterday was all that mattered
With all the future holds
our lives feel so scattered

Realizing you are leaving
and we won't always be here
our lives must go on
even living in fear

As the days grow longer
and we grow apart
