Hiding Away

I only let my tears out
When Im in the rain
Got to make sure no one sees
That Im in every sort of pain

I hide everything I do
My drawing and my poems
I hide all emotion
I answer Im fine when people ask how Im going

Its work fine for awhile
But as time passes by it continuingly gets harder
My cut up arms are trickier to hide
Easier to get excuses if I was a rose gardener

I dont like people to know things about my life
I express through a pen
I read over these poems when Im down
So I dont have to vent these feelings over again

When youre usually quite loud
And for one day you hardly speak
People start to see through your costume
The makeup begins to grow weak

Then suddenly you forget something
That was supposed to be hidden away
And suddenly your life is different
You shall never forget that dreadful day...
