Juliet's Song to Romeo

by AllHailTheHeartbreaker   Apr 20, 2006

Put thy arms round me
O dearest, romantic Romeo
And tell me all about
Those great things to come.

You say lovers (as we are)
Who have been christened great
(As we so forth have been)
Are nothing more but destined to be.

Love me forever
O gentle, handsom Romeo
Let our secret keep
And our hearts untold.

Let thy words
(Which you choose so well)
Become the truth, and let
Forever be our future.

Seal this departure with a kiss of passion
O faithful, sweet Romeo
And press you lips to my hand
As a sign of what is to come.

I don't think people (your voters) really accept hearing old language in a poem. But I think it was different and fit with the romeo and juliet theme. the () added a nice effect somehow. I can't really explain it but when you read something that you just think stands out then yo know it does. There were a few typos, though, as in missing letters in a word or two.
