Violent Violet

by Stephanie   Apr 20, 2006

With all the troubles in my world
Who could forget that little girl?
Violet, who tossed and twirled her hair
Who stopped you in your tracks by that tiny stare

She looks as innocent, as tender and sweet
But looks are deceiving until you meet
The little beast that lurks inside
Thats dark as death, and fragile as time

You'll see the girl that wins your heart
You'll see the girl that watches the stars
And never the girl that cuts her wrists
Or even the girl that longs for bliss

She goes out to the streets at night to try
And see if she can really survive
She fights her way through the cold cruel world
She's fought so hard, she's now a violent girl

The violent girl that cuts her wrists
The girl that no one can resist
The girl that no one can get
Do you know a girl like Violent Violet?

It's a poem I wrote for a contest... the poem had to be titled Violent Violet and I had to write a poem off of it.
