The Death Of An Angel

They weren't meant to have ever been, but they loved every bit of their sin. He would never let her go away. Forever with him she would stay. Touching the place where their unborn child formed he looked deep into her eyes. Trapped in an embrace the thought of her past slowly dies.
Still they were not safe. His world was unknown to their love. When his people find out would they kill him and the one from above? Taking his fallen angel's hand he brought her deeper into the darkness. He would hide them away forever from the bitterness.
After a while she told him he couldn't live this way. His people needed him to keep things at bay. He told her not to worry about it. That it would be fine. She kissed him softly, told him to go on and don't whine. With a sigh on his lips and a bad feeling in his stomach he kissed her good bye. He said he would be back before the moon reached the middle of the sky. Then he was gone with the winds soft song.
Not long before he left a horrible feeling came upon him. When he reached his house he couldn't have stopped them. The fire was blazing and the one thing that echoed through his mind was her screams. He ran in through the fire to reach his angel while thoughts of death ran through his mind. He found her body beaten and battered because he didn't make it in time. He pulled her out away from all the flames. She was barely alive and didn't look the same.
Tears filled his eyes as he repeated that he was sorry. Her weak hand slowly caressed his face even though it all became blurry.
"Never forget me," she said as her hand fell down. He held her close all his emotions drown.
The blood of his love stained his clothes. The smoke from his house slowly rose. "Damn them," he whispered as he began to stand. Slowly letting go of his dead angel"s hand.
