Neylina

by Trish   Apr 21, 2006

I stare at her silent body
laying curled beside me
my child pure and innocent
my heart fills with love
and i am glad she is here
i do not regret having her
though the circumstances
could have been better
she is beautiful
nice, and polite
everything a mother could hope for

she is nine and growing older
i miss the baby i once had
she wakes up and smiles
i hug her
tell her i love her
and watch as she heads for school
