Lighting

by Kylead   Apr 21, 2006

Lighting crashing
Illuminating the skies
Over and over the lighting strikes almost captivating
Now the lighting strikes and begins to thunder
Echoing through the ground
With the wind blowing

Swings moving back and forth
Leafs blowing in the wind
Little kids watching the storm from there windows
Girls creaming when the light flashes

With the lighting comes misfortune
Trees and other structures are damaged or broken
Lighting strikes the power dies
Time to bring the candles out

Everyone huddled around the window
Waiting to see next strike
Being entertained with nothing more than there eyes
Soon after the lightings gone

The rain begins to fall
Washing away the damage that the lighting caused
