She Cries

by Leah   Apr 21, 2006

And behind these eyes of shattered dreams
lays a girl with a heart so broken
and every tear tells the story
of a love that wasn't spoken.

When it comes the perfect time
to open up her eyes
this girl will jump out and see
her fearful taunting cries.

Though she doesn't speak quite yet
her face clearly shows her pain
and with it comes an explanation
of something she can't explain.

Inside herself the spirit dies
of the girl that she once knew
and here comes the rose that weeps, it weeps its dew.

She remembers when she was a child, oh how she believed everything that was said,
but now she's to afraid to love
and she just wishes she were dead.

sneaking out from her house
a stealthy petite girl
with secrets you cannot imagine
secrets that won't unfurl.

And now she walks to a bridge
where she takes her final leap
which will preserve her body
eternally in a peaceful sleep.

Her family weeps her death
the day she commits suicide
but no one was there to wipe her tears, the moments that she cried.
