Velvet soul inside the armor

by ECILA ice   Apr 22, 2006

This woman is so extraordinary
A simple heroin of today
No swords are on her gentle hands
Neither attended any kind of wars

Face covered by the helmet
Inside, Wrinkles are on her soft forehead
The face of a young woman slowly fades
Sign of golden years she had survived

Despite all the madness and pain brought to her
Astonishingly, still struggling and fighting
A sign of stoutness on the battle of life
She had never surrender

But behind those thick armor
Hides a genuine velvet soul
A woman who loves us all
Who is always behind our back...

Behind those gauntlet on her hands
Is a gentle touch of a loving woman
Who always shows she cares
And an arm that saves us when we fall

She was really an innocent warrior
Someone who hides in that thick armor
An innocent who doesn't kill
But protect us from the life's battle

She loves us and I love her too
An extraordinary woman full of sympathy
A real loving and caring mother
A real heroin inside the heavy armor

* this was for my mom who is loving and caring just want to thank you..i also want to dedicate it to all mothers!

This is a really great poem, it portrays perfectly a really caring mother who, although worn by the war of life, still continues to love and care for everyone around her. Whoa.. I sound like one of those people who write comments on the back of books... Sorry! I really like your poem though.
