You know what you must say,
but somehow you just can't put it into words.
you thought today was the day,
the day you tell her that your scared and it hurts.
you stand there looking into her eyes,
she's looking into your tear stained eyes,
silently saying in your own time.
you just can't seem to keep your eyes dry.
you want to tell her how you can't sleep at night,
how the water in the creek scares you too.
you want to tell her your sorry,
ask her to take your fear away for you.
all you can do is cry as she cradles you,
you know you have said all you can,
she understand that this is all you need to do.
you're just grateful to have her with you.
