Murder

by Vickie   Apr 22, 2006

Do you know what it's like to get murdered every night?
To fear sleeping in the darkness of the surrounding sky
Having to push yourself to close your eyes
Fearing of what may be hiding under you eyelids, the penetrating wait, putting up a fight.
While others slip off into dreamland, you slip into crime
You find yourself with a knife in you back, clawing for freedom, losing your life

Do you know what it's like to get murdered every night?
To feel the blood drip down your frail flesh
Having to wipe your own tears because
You know when you open your mouth to yell, noone will hear.
You sit and you cry in your crimson mess.
Wanting to scream, unable to hear, struggling to see, you can no longer feel.

Do you know what it's like to get murdered every night?
To have your heart torn right from your chest
Having to struggle through the numbing pain
You fight the love that was once there, falling back.
Wishing for nothing more than to not be here
Yearning for a voice, sound in your ears, color to this black and white world, a warm hand to feel.

Do you know what it's like to get murdered every night?
To put up through the wait of waking up
Having to sit in paranoia in a world unknown to human eye
Waiting for someone to get you up, wake you up, get you out of this nightmare.
Longing for a sense of security, a sense of hope.
Lacking the love, the comfort, the sight of senses in a short panic flee.

Do you know what it's like to get murdered every night?
To finally wake up and be shaking in fright
Having to sit up on your bed and explain to everyone watching you
What you saw, what you did.
Hearing your echoing voice, hearing their trembling voices,
Seeing the blood shot of their faces, and feeling their warm hands on your head.

Do you know what it's like to get murdered every night?
Maybe you don't, yet maybe you do.
Your heart screams out for the one you love, but they refuse to hear you.
Having your heart torn out because they're all you think of every night when you lay down to sleep
You fear to close your eyes because once you do, their face comes into view.
Then the next thing you know you see HER with him, like a knife to your back, your heart bursts in pain.

Do you know what it's like to get murdered every night?
To hold your heart in the palm of your hands for someone who doesn't care like you do
Watching them take it and break it in two
Setting it back in the curve of your palm, watching you break down
The blood runs down your frail flesh, your bloody hands wipe away your tears
The pain numbs everything you want to say, you sit and you sulk in your mess, watching him leave with a grin on his face.

You have no idea what it's like
To get murdered every single night.
