Broken Promises

This is a story,
Of a girl.
Who died,
From the tears she cried.

She was hurt,
And broken.
Torn apart,
From things he had spoken.

He said,
He loved her.
He told her,
He would show her the world.

Though thats not a promise,
He kept at all.
He lied to her,
And made her fall.

She followed him,
Over and over again.
Never giving up,
Believing in love.

But this is what,
She died of.

He hit her,
And raped her.

Beat her,
And strangled her.

With words of love,
And broken promises;
That's what she died of.
