Dancing Through the Rain

by Leah   Apr 23, 2006

These are her regrettable tears
silk tears, for what she softly glows
and behind the eyes of misery
lays a path of roses no one knows.

What she finds within her tears
are broken ends of a child
thinking of all the reasons
reasons why she smiled.

Womanly hands
connect to her body
and a mature laugh fills the air
she's grown quite beautifully
but she's still wishing you were there.

And now she sits alone
upon her empty life
wishing she was with you
wishing she was your wife.

Childless woman bestow upon son
countless times she thought of him
but now the daylight breaks away
and its starting to get dim.

A chill rises her insides
and she walks back to her home
where she lives with nobody
she's a woman whos all alone.

And once she's safely in her house
she walks up to her bedroom
she lets out a little sign
no one to smell her sweet perfume.

Getting into bed, she does
and sets her glasses on the table
might as well just go to bed
for she hasn't any cable.

Takes a sip of water
then turns out her lights
remembering her parents
and all the countless fights.

Daylight comes to greet her
and she stares up at the ceiling
no use in getting up today
since she's the woman without feeling.

Finally her eyes close
never to open up again
visions dance before she dies
of a young girl dancing through the rain.
