Undiscovered

by CHAOTIC   Apr 23, 2006

There's no beauty in
Smudged mascara,
Black inky spots,
Dreams never meant to happen.

There's no beauty in
Bleeding fingernails,
Fighting anticipation,
Of further stormy days.

There's no beauty in
Torn and cracked lips,
Bitten down hard,
With secret stories of hideous wrists.

A meaningless smile,
Those words left buried alive.
Dark circles under her eyes,
Having two different lives.

There's no beauty in
Damp red cheeks,
Graced with feelings,
That's lost more each week.

There's no beauty in
Fake and hollow laughs,
Without a trace,
The truth, it's in the past.

There's no beauty in
Shining but lifeless stars,
Wishes turned to cold,
Fantasties gazed at from afar.

Makeup hiding all emotions
The smell of fading roses.
A sweet stinging so outrageous,
Hearts pressed against metal cages.

It's undiscovered beauty at its finest.
