Nightmare

by Grayson   Apr 23, 2006

I wake up from a terrible nightmare,
I throw on my robe and step into the noiseless hallway.
I venture through hallway after hallway in an old creaking manor
To get a glass of water.
I step into an eerie kitchen, I stare in disbelief as a man stands on the other end of the kitchen
As I frame the mans image, its as if the room is bending on an angle
I try to talk to the man, but as horror grips my heart I fall silent.
The man fires his head around to glance at me
My vision is blurry and I am unable to make out the mans face
my gooseflesh rises when I see the man starting to trudge toward me with a horribly bent neck
And dissimilar sized limbs ,
My heart almost stopped as the man stands before me nearly centimeters away
I awaken with a terrifying start but find out it was just a common nightmare,
As I wipe the sweat from my forehead and pull off my sheets.
I stop as a eerie face glazes down at me with a gnarled neck
