Last Dance

by Italian Stallion   Apr 23, 2006

What took you this long
To realize my love for you
I search night and day for the words
To tell you so

Everynight, I dream
About how it could be
With you and me
But, I will never know

For you are my best friend
And I don't want to change a thing
You mean the world to me
And I don't want to see you hurt

Will you take my hand
And keep on dancing
For I don't want to have a last dance
I know in the end I will have no remorse

For I have saved a friend
Not just any friend
But, my best friend
From being emotionally hurt

I love you for how you are
Never change a thing
There is one lucky fellow In this world
That is waiting for you

And when you find him
I'll be by your side
I'll help you though thick and thin
For we are best friends

We are True friends
And that will never change

Great job i can epathise with this poem which helps to involve the audience.
The only critisism i could find which is not very big is that the rythm is a bit stilted at the begining which hardly effects the poem due to the fact it is written with a free ryhming structure.
    Great job 5/5
