Exhaling An Everlasting Memory

Summer has finally arrived
washing away the cold weather blues
fireflies dance upon magical skies
lanterns to light our way

As we take a moonlight stroll
beneath a midnight sky
walking hand in hand
just you and I

Stopping to lay upon the silky sand
I lay my head upon your chest
reminiscing about the past many moons ago
to the time when we were young and carefree

Jumping up in one quick flash
I see a glimmer in your eye
you set of running,hurdling waves naked
like my young stallion of ,yesterdays

Tempting me to chase you
I give in against my better judgment
just to relive a moment of our past
a time when stress had no holds

Cold water tickles my skin
making me feel young again,so alive
splashing, giggling and living
nothing else matters but you and I

As we lay back on the beach exhausted
a soft gentle breeze begins to blow
we breath in the beauty of this summer night
exhaling an everlasting memory
