Broken

She fools everyone into thinking she's alright,
she pretends to be okay but she can't sleep at night.
she wants to find herself but she's scared of what she'll see,
she ignores all the people telling her who she should be.
she can't help it when she cries and she makes marks upon her skin,
she can't seem to make it stop, somethings hurting deep within.
she turns away from the world and gets lost in herself,
she wants to know what's happening, she needs someone to help.
she's scared, she's alone, and she's misunderstood,
people tried to understand her but there's no one who could.
she needs something to hold on to to save her from her mind,
before she turns and runs away and leaves herself behind.
she's afraid to care for anyone, 'cause no one cared for her,
when she's at home and all alone she knows she's letting go for sure.
go on, save her, it's okay, she won't need much,
just someone to tell her she'll be okay, she wants the warmth of someone's touch.
people have tried but they back away, they seem to be afraid,
so for now the tears fall down her face as she's waiting to be saved.
