Words softly whispered flow from your lips,
You graze her skin with your fingertips.
A gentle touch, a warm embrace,
She never thought she’d be replaced.
Opened her heart to take you in deeper,
Only to see that she’d become weaker.
Another chance slips by, she thought this was done,
But she knew in her heart it had only begun.
Shattered hearts and broken lies,
She’ll never be the same when you look into her eyes.
She never thought this love would be through,
Now you’re alone with someone new.
You can’t move but you can’t hold still,
It’s time you figured out what you really feel.
Now she lies by herself, broken and alone,
For she won’t let her pain be shown.
