You try to make yourself sound tough
when really, you don't know a life that's rough
no money, no friends, all these loose ends
you don't have the balls, to pull yourself through this stuff

Acting like you're unstoppable, and infallible
when really, you're just an idiot, who's gullible
each statement is a fallacy, you should be considered heresy
you aren't accustomed to a life, that is horrible

Each moment is a living hell, trying to survive is useless
trying to keep my balance, is an attempt that's fruitless
I've been bombarded day after day, and now my mind is guarded
but forging on is pointless, resistance is a path filled with loneliness

What's the point to keep trying
when you feel like each of your friends is dying
they fall around you, and there's nothing you can do
and now, you've resorted to lying

Trying to cover your tracks of depression
when really, each step is another impression
in your heart, each step, is like a poison dart
now you're pleading for a point of confession

But one one is there, for you to vent to
when even this once, you're being true
but you're all alone, just left to moan
if there's anyone to turn to, you don't know who

And as these tears pour to the ground
tides are turned, and new emotion is found
you suddenly brighten, and your heart lightens
as you see that, true love is what you found
