Mud

by Sissey Fritz   Apr 25, 2006

I accidently looked at you,
My thoughts quite astray.
I glanced and saw a pretty face,
I just had nothing to say.

I felt a since of completeness,
since you were right over there,
I gasp for my next breathe,
We were both lost without care.

I got up from my seat,
To walk over to you,
You tripped me as I rolled by,
I extended and I flew.

You got up and rushed over,
I was lying in the mud,
I realized you aren't a nice guy,
That you are just a dud.

I got up to both my feet,
I looked the other way,
You quietly said to me,
Just go on along your way.

I knew exactly why you did it,
I would have did the same,
To see someone you could love,
but you didn't want to play the game.
