My life has not been easy, Id be the first to tell
Cowering behind smiles, never allowing you to see where I fell
You see courage, strength, and a persistence that will forever prevail..
So I ask you this.............. where do you see me now?

I've seen death knock on my door, and sunshine I am still reaching for
Everyone has dreams, but their dreams are far different than mine
I am a simple person................. I dream for my heart to soar.....
I dream of self-satisfaction
Never block me from my dreams, help me or get out of my way
I don't deserve more than I have, for God has given me a gift each and every day

Waking in the morning, seeing my daughters beautiful eyes...
There is a true difference in needing and wanting
Do you know about this?...Do you understand?
Do you need help?.................. Go..............outside and gaze into the sky.
Don't lead, Don't follow, walk beside me........ we all need a friend.

I've felt pain, seen destruction, and I recognize those that live in a dream
Look into your heart, I have looked at mine
We are all, everything that we seem
There is nothing hidden there, no matter how hard we try
Take it or leave it. My life has been hard, I deserve to cry
Do you know each day is new, The sun sets, there is beauty hidden there
