Not your little girl no more..

Not your little girl no more

You use to have a little girl
Now shes all grown up
More into cute boys than into you
She's brought out the make up
She's not playing dress up
But instead getting dressed to go on dates
Your little girl has slipped into a great young lady
She's dating a guy that treats her like a goddess
Your hating every moment of it
You hate how he calls her at least four times a day
You hate how he is putting his hands all over her
But yet she don't want you to touch her at all
You don't get hugs or kisses any more
Not even that "Goodnight Daddy"
She has moved on from you
She wants nothing to do with you
You get so mad and jealous
Your little girl isn't little no more
She's gone from you forever

    Wow.
That says so much. I know what you mean. My dad has realized that I am an adult now. Even though I still make time for him, my world revolves around my new life...it's hard for him to let his little girl go, but he is coping very nicely. You should check out the song "I Loved Her First" by Heartland.
You'll be able to relate to it totally.

I think that this is really sad...I can just picture my dad when I read this and I could imagine how he'd feel if that did start to happen where I forgot him. Great write!
