Lonley, Like The Night

by Ben   Apr 25, 2006

In the midnight hour,
The cold night holds me still,
Watching over my lonely soul.
Eyeing me in peril,
As the dawn creeps upon me.

Its cold whispers fall down my spine,
As it's tears rain down,
Knowing it's as lonely as I.
It's frozen heart,
A million stars in the sky.

This cold lonely night,
How it longs for something more,
Waiting day after day,
Waiting for that one, open door.

The breeze blows my curtains aside,
Exposing the forgotten moon,
Breaking my heart, watching it die
It's been alone for too long,
There's nothing left any more
The cold night lets out another sigh.

My night, my friend
Disappears behind the ground
Leaving for another day
Will its love ever be found?

As the evening comes,
The night returns lonely once again.
Until one day it comes no more.
And I have lost, my lonely friend.
