I remember

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Apr 25, 2006

I remember looking down from the balcony
curtains closing, standing next the railing
i remember trying
to think of you without crying
i remember standing at the driveway
eyes misted over
i remember feeling cold
finally realizing the fires were out
i remember gazing upon your roses
black and velvety
i remember turning and walking up the stairs
going to that fateful room
i remember treasuring each breath
as if it were my last
i remember seeing that knife
cold and silver
I remember seeing it
pierce your skin
i remember you
lifeless and clammy
i remember picking up the knife
piercing my skin
i remember nothing more
only darkness
