Her Chemical Revolution

Majestic beauty, secretly hiding
And deceiving the world
Ignored and utterly invisible
The soldier with the face of a freak
Abandoning emotions for
The everlasting steel walls
Built between her flesh
And the unknown relationships awaiting
She poisons herself daily
With a dose of meth; to keep from feeling
She wants to be numb
To drive her emotions out
The sick and guilty pleasure of pain
Through her skin, she inserts the toxic needles
Probing
To make sure she is still alive
To continue her blood-thirsty
Race to the finish
Her skin is melting away
Doomed by the chemical revolution
That she so lovingly created
Her hazel eyes sink into her skull
So that she can no longer see
What she is doing to herself
She drives the screws in
Further and further until
A graceful arc appears
It coats everything with a
War-like paint
Staining the sheets
Staining her thoughts
Falling into a black hole
That she hammered into her brain
The droplets rush across the floor
Feeding the river of hate
That runs through her flesh
