Shadowed black
Forever more
Burning hard
Beneath my core

Deepening still
This growing pain
Never ending
This pitiful shame

Always lurking
But hiding still
This stupid feeling
Ending so pitiful

Never forgetting
The broken past
I will not crumble
But hold on fast
