A poem for a friend's B-day

by darkkitten   Apr 26, 2006

Bailey,

You are such a friend, good and true
So here's a rhyme just for you

Let's recap
Since we first met
It was homecoming freshman year
I thought I would say hi and hang out with you
You seemed to be friendly and sincere
You told me to go befriend the popular crew
Because you're friends with geeks and didn't think I wanted to be
Since I was new
Sure glad I didn't follow your words of advice
Or our friendship wouldn't be this nice
So now from here
We go to sophomore and junior year
Which was a blast
So let's skip to senior year
Before long it will be in the past
Advisor is eventful yet boring at times
With Ms. Adams rambling on
Till the crack of dawn
As we all share a yawn
Our senior project was tons of fun
Washing dogs one by one
Graduating time alas,
The last four years went by way to fast
All the good times may be gone
But the memories will forever live on

Your Friend Always,
Sabrina
