Nothing...always...wanting...fearing

by Timothy   Apr 26, 2006

Nothing new,
Nothing fresh;
Nothing rejuvenates,
This side of death.

Always hungry,
Always dirty;
Always striving,
But remaining thirsty.

Wanting hope,
Wanting a chance;
Wanting equality,
In life's little dance.

Fearing acceptance,
Fearing being shunned;
Fearing the mirror,
When the day is done.
