Dear Heart...

My jewel of mystery,
Found cold within me.
Save moments of misery,
where no one should see.

All I want is to reach you,
And I beg you to try.
Everything I want to show you,
Is goodness in life.

I know you can see,
Every reason to smile.
But I know you can't feel,
And it kills me inside.

My desire is to fix you,
Though it will never be enough.
Every laugh that I give you,
You won't take it, you're so tough.

You choose loneliness over love,
You drown painfully in tears.
You beat weak and always slow,
You save deeply all my fears.

I'm sorry if it is my fault,
Feels like I can't make it, I'm not strong.
Desperation consumes my soul,
I wonder if I was made wrong.

Why can't I draw a smile?
Why can't I fill with joy?
All I do is to hide,
All I want is to love.

You'll stay with me forever,
But still a mystery to me.
I long to make you feel better,
I don't know how that can be.
