Perfect Life

by Poetvoices   Apr 26, 2006

If life was perfect,
drama would be easily abolished.
She wouldn't feel the pain he causes.

If life was perfect,
there'd be a giant tub of Ben and Jerry's
for ONLY emergencies and to show I care.

If life was perfect,
our parents couldn't hold us back.
We could, then, accomplish any plans.
If life was perfect,
there'd be no shooshing teachers to interfere
with talking and catching up between you and me.

If life was perfect,
It wouldn't be perfect at all,
because the thought would not be grasped or caught.

If life was perfect,
well, that can never be,
so we just keep saying if only.

That was rather cute. If Life was Perfect... something we always begin our thoughts with, but you just turned it into a great poem! Nicely done. Too bad there can't be a big tub of Ben & Jerry's every day... : )
