The Kind of Wait I Enjoy

by Poetvoices   Apr 26, 2006

Dear So-and-so,
I don't know you, but I'm waiting for you.
I can't know where you are,
but I hope you'll have the same courtesy.

I pray for you daily.
I hope you do the same.
I think about you sometimes.
I hope you do the same.
I'm patient because of you.
I hope that you are too.

Every time someone around me breaks under the pressure,
I stand stronger, because I don't wanna end up like that.
The word "virgin" fills me with pride,
but I don't use it frivolously.

I ask that you do this for me.
I hope that this would be the case.
I want us to be each other's onlies,
and I hope you see it this way.
I already love you through Christ.
I hope that my feelings are mutual.

In summary, I have to say,
I hope to see you in time.
Love, your future wife,
Kristen
