Why do friends.................

Why do friends
do the crazy things they do?
why do they
cut themselves when they are blue?
why do they tell you
that you feel better when you do
why do they convince you
to risk your life too

i listened to those friends
and i started cutting when my life was blue
but then some other friends came along
and told me thats what i shouldn't do

i listened to the new friends
and decided they were right
my life now is ok.........
and i haven't been uptight

the old friends have been stupid
doesn't mean i have to be
so i don't listen to those friends
because i know there are others for me

now my new friends
are helping me get through
the depression that i was in
and helping me not to be stupid too

this is all i got to say
but to my old friends i have this
don't waste your life by cutting
there's a lot about life that you'll miss
