Whole

by Kenzie   Apr 26, 2006

Fingers entwined
laced up like a shoe
they did the thing
their friends begged them not do
passion unleashed
with feelings too strong
clumsy beginnings
will finish strong

heat of the moment
tears in her eyes
they both said goodbye
to their innocent lives
whispered I love you's
inaudible moans
sweat on their backs
and aches in their bones

every thing's different
yet nothing has changed
their hearts brought together
their love still sustains
their friends they may laugh
or say some harsh things
but their romance has blossomed
they know what they've gained

naked; unclothed
their love was exposed
commitment and trust
drown fears, predisposed
with the promise of love
each gave up their soul
knowing soon each would
complete half of a whole

they risked their security
and pray it remains
in their weakest moment
all fear was drained
