I think about my life,
Every second of every minute.
Day to day I wonder how long,
I have to wait for a better day.
You said it would all change,
You said it would all get better.
But I never believed you until now.
This may seem petty to most,
But I never felt this way before.
I wish I could feel like this everyday.
But I know I can't, so now what?
I know tomorrow will be back to normal.
To the same old sad and lonely days,
When I watch the seconds go by.
But for right now, for this day,
I will enjoy this feeling of happiness.
Because I know in my heart,
The long days will soon be gone.
But for now, while I wait,
I'll think about this day,
And how it has changed,
The way that I think about my life.
