Stars no more

by Unrequited   Apr 26, 2006

Caught up in a blaze of glory
the sky comes crumbling down
i look for the light to lead my way
but it's nowhere to be found
deafening silence screams inside
and wakens all my fears
disrupting destruction devours all hearts
and brings our eyes to tears

we thought we had won
but it's only just begun
spyders crawl inside
hearts cut open wide
as the starry night fades
all love now turns to gray

bleed to me your crimson hopes
and fake a smile to give to me
graveyard ghouls and ghastly ghosts
pray for death that we can't see
break the bones that carve the stone
watch their eyes as they scream
they mouth the words "it's over now",
as dogs tear at their spleens

we thought it was done
but it's only just become
a day to forget
decisions made to regret
as the starry night fades
all love now turns to gray

to deny
feelings inside
covered in gray
love can't be saved
it all comes crumbling down

vermilion hearts, once so bright
murdered by cries so cold
existing light, ignite that flame
we once were able to hold
creatures creep around your soul
you exhale your last bleeding breath
disrupting destruction devours your heart
and the starry sky falls to its death

your demise
broken smiles
bleeding away
turning to gray
it all comes crumbling down

we thought we had won
but it's only just begun
spyders crawl inside
hearts cut open wide
as the starry night fades
all love now turns to gray
