Your Best Friend

by Steph   Apr 26, 2006

For once would you look at me
And not see just your best friend
See the wonderful, amazing girl
Whose broken heart you could mend

Yeah, I know I'm helpful
And yes, I give good advice
Have you stopped to consider tho,
How much I have to pay the price?

Every time you mention another girl
It makes me have to play pretend
I act all excited just for you
And help you as "just a friend"

But if you'd look past my mask
You'd see the truth that's been there all along
I'm your best friend... who's in love with you
Please don't tell me my feelings are wrong

You flirt and date other girls
But I just wish you'd see
The girl that loves you the most
Is your best friend... Stephanie
