Nature of America

by Kristin   Apr 26, 2006

The rolling hills of America,
are being replaced by concrete,
The beautiful green pastures,
will no longer grow their wheat.

The snow covered mountains,
are becoming a vacation spot,
What happened to respecting nature?
I suppose everyone has forgot.

Where are the herds of bison?
and the wild horses that used to roam free?
Condos and mini-malls replaced them,
American went on a building spree.

The pollution has ruined the water,
that used to shine clear and bright,
the sea life used to swim happily,
but now their life is a long fight.

The rich rainforest's of life,
are nothing but a parking garage,
What happened to the sandy deserts?
Perhaps it was all a mirage?

Technology is everywhere,
people are rushing their life along,
Not wanting to fight for nature,
because they don't want to look wrong.

"Stop and smell the roses"
Is what we always hear,
but no roses grow freely anymore,
what happened to the unexplored frontier?

The Great Plains of opportunity,
are now packed with pollution
We can't forget about nature,
We need to find a solution.
