A Window from Heaven

by Shade   Apr 26, 2006

I watched you from my window,
As you walked amongst the leaves,
Hiding from your problems,
In your safe place in the trees.

Your footsteps crinkle softly,
Over the golden autumn fall,
With the silver beams of moonlight,
To reflect the beauty of it all.

I watched you from my window,
As you wandered through the rain,
Mixing with your tears,
As you cried away your pain.

Storm clouds gathered above you,
To darken up your days,
But you just kept on walking,
Oblivious in your ways.

I watched you from my window,
On the day that you found out,
I saw your body crumble,
As they took away your doubts.

Now I want you to know,
That my final thought in mind,
Was the image of your face,
And how you put your hand in mine.

Now I watch you from my window,
As you stand above my grave,
And relive all the memories,
And promises we made.

Im proud of how you carry on,
Keeping strong and true,
One thing you can be sure of,
Is that I'll be watching you.
